This is where most people almost all got it wrong. We hold the food in our hands and say Bismillah. Where as the teachings of our Prophet peace be upon him is that before we approach our food we say Bismillah.
Before you eat or drink anything just say A`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ar-rajim (before Bismillah) and complete Bismillah hir Rehman ira Raheem (on food/drink). Remember dont let the devil fool you saying you cannot say shaitan's name on food, know that we are saying it over bismillah and the full bismillah over food.
If you get a chance to recite Quran, please recite Surah Baqarah over and over again and also say the last 2 Quls often. Make dua to Allah to keep you steadfast and patient with all this. It takes time so be patient.
They are parasites and you are the host, even if you just say Bismillah on the food, they can still eat it. Please make sure if you quickly want to taste something, say it, otherwise it will prolong their life.
